Services
Water:
The City of Manchester uses water from our own reservoir, Bert T. Combs Lake.  Our quality is maintained through comprehensive testing by us and also by the state of Kentucky.  We are supplying water to the outermost parts of the county.  We are in the planning stages to extend our current service area.  We have several mountain top back up storage facilities strategically located throughout the county and are nearing completion linking us to Laurel Lake.  The city council has recently approved the building location of a new water treatment plant which will greatly increase our capacity. If you have questions about water service or have a water line problem please give us a call. (606) 598-3456  or email to waterdept@cityofmanchesterky.com

We look forward to assisting you and your business.

Sanitation:
Our sanitation department has modern facilities as well as many new main lines laid throughout the city.  Pumping stations are located along the system to move waste to the main treatment facility.  Our treatment facilities are modern and up to date keeping our standards high with regular testing.

Manchester is aggressive in cleaning up our city and helping to make a cleaner place for all of our citizens as well as those who visit.  We have modern hydraulic lift garbage trucks that pick up inside the city twice weekly and transport refuse to a regional landfill.  We have metal dumpsters made available to all business and curb pick up for residences.  Our city workers are also cleaning our city with periodic high pressure washers including sidewalks.  Manchester is cleaning up its act.... We can also help with residence lot clean up. For information on service we provide just give us a call at 598-3456.

We are now updating, replacing, or making plans to update many areas of service to our residents and business customers in Manchester.  We are planning for the future of Manchester today!

Recycling:
Manchester is aggressively recycling cans, plastic and papers of all kinds.  Recycling bins are located around the city and recyclable materials can be brought to the special containers any time during business hours located at the fire department.  Small recycle bins are also located at city hall for our citizens who want to drop by city hall.
